As these pages are devoted origami, I shall tell about myself from the point of view of the world of origami.

My first acquaintance with this subject has taken place in childhood, whan I was 8 year old. When I had a rest in camp, i have learned to fold coll, hat, boat and steamship. Then I yet did not know, that what I am engaged in, is called as such sonorous word. About it I have found out subsequently, when I travel in a train, folding this simple models. The fellow travellers have named what I was engaged - origami.

When I was about 12 year old, I have thought up my first model. It cannot be considered as pure origami, because the main idea of this model was laid in wattled strips of paper. But the result looks like origami.

Then I long time was not engaged in origami. To this art I have returned completely casually. Passing by the book store, I have decided to glance there in searches something interesting " for soul ". And I find where the book "Origami for the connoisseurs. Dragons" by Afonkins. Despite of that I was not the connoisseur, and I was even not familiar at all with the alphabet of origami, I have overcome this book.

Then I have read some more books and rather quickly has met that the information on origami in Russia is submitted rather poorly. Then I have open the internet as source of origami diagrams.

So, per the first year of intensive occupation by origami since November, 1999 I have folded approximately 300 various models. Now there is my second year of occupation in origami.
